Gateway EV Advisor (GEVA) is an independent electrified-vehicle advisory firm located in the St. Louis metro area. We help automotive dealerships and individual drivers make confident decisions about every kind of electrified vehicle: battery electric (BEV), hybrid (HEV), plug-in hybrid (PHEV), and extended-range electric (E-REV).

GEVA works two ways: recurring advisory sessions that keep dealership Sales and Service teams aligned and current on electrified vehicles, and one-on-one consultations for individual buyers who want a knowledgeable, independent guide before and after they go electric. We don't sell vehicles. We give clear, unbiased guidance so the people who sell, service, and drive them are set up to succeed.

Meet the Founder: Steve Robinson

Steve Robinson is the founder of Gateway EV Advisor and a retired Missouri State Highway Patrolman. That background shaped how he works today: attention to detail, straight answers, and a commitment to earning trust in the community he serves.

Steve is ElectrifIQ-certified — a recognized EV sales-training credential jointly developed by the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) and the Center for Sustainable Energy. And he doesn't advise on electric vehicles only from the outside: he owns and drives a Honda Prologue, so the guidance he gives dealerships and drivers comes from daily, first-hand experience with charging, range, and living with an EV in the Midwest.

Located in the St. Louis metro, Steve founded GEVA to give dealerships and buyers a dependable, independent source of electrified-vehicle expertise that stays current as the technology, the incentives, and the vehicles keep changing.

What Gateway EV Advisor does

For dealerships: recurring advisory sessions that keep Sales and Service teams speaking the same language on electrified vehicles, protect customer satisfaction, and keep EV knowledge current as models and technology evolve.

For individual buyers: paid one-on-one consultations that help you choose, buy, charge, and live with the right electrified vehicle for your needs, with no sales pressure, because GEVA doesn't sell cars.

GEVA advises across all four electrified powertrains:

Battery Electric (BEV): runs only on electricity; plugs in to charge.
Hybrid Electric (HEV): a gas engine paired with an electric motor; no plugging in.
Plug-in Hybrid Electric (PHEV): electric-only range for short trips, then works as a hybrid.
Extended-Range Electric (E-REV):driven by an electric motor, with a gas engine on board only to recharge the battery.

Gateway EV Advisor, LLC is an independently owned Missouri company founded by Steve Robinson and located in the St. Louis metro area. We are not affiliated with any other similarly named EV advisory, "gateway," or EV-charging company.
